OUR STORY

Hello, my name is Steven SchaFfer, founder of CT Engraving.

For over 50 years, I have dedicated my life to the art of sandblast engraving. My journey began with products such as SandAir, continued through my work with SandEtch with the Armor company, and later led to the invention of AeroEtch.

I also founded Innovative Etching in Bethel, Connecticut, which later became connected with Engraved Products. While I did perform some engraving work for Engraved Products, my involvement there was limited and represented only a small portion of my overall experience, knowledge, and capabilities in the field of sandblast engraving.

Today, I have opened CT Engraving to continue that tradition with a renewed purpose: to bring customers the highest level of custom sandblast engraving, handcrafted detail, and personal service.

At CT Engraving, every project is treated as something special. Whether it is a wedding gift, engraved wine bottle, crystal award, glass sign, memorial piece, or one-of-a-kind custom creation, my goal is to bring 50 years of experience, craftsmanship, and passion to your project.

As I have now reached 73 and look toward the later part of my career, one of my greatest goals is to pass this craft on to others. CT Engraving will be opening a small school with limited class sizes, where I can personally teach the art of sandcarving and sandblast engraving. For those who complete the training and want to pursue their own work, I also plan to make my studio available so they can use professional equipment and begin building their own new endeavor.
