The craftsman is performing on-site sandblast engraving directly onto the diner’s glass entrance door.
First, the Three Brothers Diner artwork is sized and positioned on the glass. A specially cut stencil containing the lettering, three bluebirds, and decorative lines is then applied to the door. The surrounding glass is covered with masking material and tape so only the areas intended for engraving are exposed.
Wearing a respirator for protection, the craftsman uses a compressed-air sandblasting nozzle to direct a controlled stream of fine abrasive material at the exposed sections of glass. The abrasive gradually removes the shiny surface and creates a permanent, frosted engraving. By carefully controlling the nozzle’s distance, angle, pressure, and movement, he can keep the lettering sharp and produce consistent detail throughout the design.
After the blasting is complete, the stencil and protective masking are removed. The glass is thoroughly cleaned, revealing the finished Three Brothers Diner design permanently engraved into the entrance door. Unlike paint, vinyl, or decals, the sandblasted image becomes part of the glass and will not peel, fade, or wash away to your unique needs.

Each door carries a matching engraved design featuring the words “THREE BROTHERS DINER” in clean, traditional lettering. Beneath the name are three detailed birds perched together on branches, representing the three brothers. An elegant ornamental flourish completes the design below.
The frosted-white engraving stands out clearly against the darker glass while still allowing the diner’s warm interior lighting and reflections to remain visible. The matching placement on both doors creates a balanced, professional appearance and makes the entrance look custom-built rather than decorated with temporary signage.
Because the design is permanently etched into the glass, it will not peel, fade, or wash away. The finished result is clean, durable, welcoming, and gives the diner entrance a distinctive handcrafted identity.
